There are a few steps you have to take before you can launch your first Containership Cluster on AWS.
Add Containership Cloud IAM policy
In the IAM console, visit Policies -> Get Started
Click Create Policy -> Create Your Own Policy
Give the new policy a name, and description, and paste in the policy provided below.
Use the following policy document.
Click on Create Policy.
Add a new IAM user and attach the IAM policy
In the AWS Management Console visit the IAM service page
Click on Users -> Create User
Add a user that ContainerShip Cloud will utilize to interact with your clusters.
- Ensure that Generate an access key for each user is selected
Make sure to download or copy your access keys, you'll need them when adding AWS as a provider in Containership Cloud.
Attach the IAM policy to the new user by clicking on the user -> Permissions -> Attach Policy
Select the policy that was created in the previous section.
Connecting to Containership Cloud
Now that all of the leg work is complete you are ready to officially connect your AWS account to Containership Cloud. Once logged into Containership, select the organization you want to setup from the drop down in the upper left hand corner and then go to Organization Settings.
Navigate to Providers on the left hand side and select Add Provider
Select Amazon and press Continue
Now fill in the fields with the requested information and press Submit
